Rumples beware. Crumples take care. Wrinkles and crinkles can't hide anywhere!  This is one competition where iron truly sharpens iron, and your chances of winning increase as you decrease.  Arrive early as we expect to be bursting at the seams with fans hemmed in for what promises to be a riveting event.  On August 11, 2023, at 6pm some of the fastest irons in the Midwest will descend on the fairgrounds to test their mettle, steamrolling wrinkles, and flattening everything in their path—all in hot pursuit of the title.

Fairmount Center for the Arts has four performance ensembles for dancers who wish to expand their performing skills and partake in additional performance opportunities for students whose passion is dance.

Our four ensembles include the Fairmount Dance Company, Fairmount Dance Company Jr., the Fairmount Hip Hop Crew, and the Spanish Dance Company.

Imagine the person that was sitting next to you just a few minutes ago is now up on stage and can’t remember their own name! Or better yet one of your friends is up on the stage claiming that their belly button was stolen. Then with a snap of David’s fingers they enter back into a hypnotic trance. Sounds entertaining huh? This is just the beginning of what to expect in the show. 

It will be all fun and games on Saturday Evening (Aug 10^th) in the Olde Barn Pavilion; when National Celebrities Jerry O’Connell host of Pictionary and Melissa Peterman host of Person, Place Or Thing will be LIVE on stage for a night of fun and games from 6-7PM with Meet & Greet To Follow.  A big shout-out to our longtime partnership with WBNX TV55 that we have this opportunity to have our county fair on a National Stage.
