A favorite of gardeners, the dahlia bloom can grow to impressive size and, like natural fireworks, explodes in a variety of colors. Come see these natural wonders in the Floral Building on Saturday while the flowers are still at their peak.
Weighing in at over 2000 lbs, when you talk horse power, the Belgian Draft Horse is the measure by which all breeds must be judged. While occasionally a bit temperamental, for the most part Belgians are gentle giants. That said, given their awe-inspiring size and strength, they can be pretty much whatever they want to be. They've pulled our wagons and plowed our fields, so we owe these enormous equines a sizeable debt of gratitude. We humans are just along for the ride.
With floppy ears, twitchy noses, cotton tails, and fur soft as angel feathers, who doesn't love a bunny? No one, that's who. And they're even cuter all dolled up for the costume contest, which is not to be missed. Afterwards, pay a visit to our Rabbit Barn, where you may even get to pet a rabbit, assuming you're not Elmer Fudd, Lenny, or a dog dressed as a person.

Located in the Cow Palace, this 4-H exhibit will have you intrigued as scientist present interesting facts about many of the animals you see at the fair.
Nothing refreshes on a hot summer day like burying your head in a watermelon wedge. Win or lose, you get a tasty treat, so if you're feeling hungry and like a challenge, take part in our Watermelon Eating Contest!

Feeling sheepish? Well, you'll be in good company, but bear in mind, if you wear a wool sweater, you may be judged. While their fleece may not be "white as snow," watching these ornery little lambs is shear fun. Just don't ask what they think of Christmas.
If your kids weren't raised on a farm, it's likely they've never had the experience of milking a cow. Well, the Cuyahoga County Fair has the answer. Bring your kids into the Commercial Building, where you'll find our Milking Cow. She's a very placid cow, largely because she's made of plastic, but she does produce milk, which is kind of miraculous when you think about it. Your kids will have an udderly fantastic time, so bring a bowl of dry cereal, and have at it.
